Ice Cream with Ricotta and Peaches

Introduction

About this Recipe

Looking for a delicious bariatric-friendly treat that won’t derail your weight loss goals?

Look no further than our simple and tasty ricotta ice cream recipe! With only two ingredients – canned peaches and low-fat ricotta – this ice cream is a perfect treat for those with a sweet tooth.

Regular ice cream typically uses heavy cream in its base. And the difference between ricotta and (heavy) cream per 100 grams is this:

  • Ricotta: 97 calories, 10g protein & 4g fat
  • Cream: 340 calories, 2.8g protein & 36g fat

*mind-blown*

Now, we’re not here to tell you that Ricotta is “good” and cream is “bad”. But we do want to underline the fact that some foods fit your new stomach better than others.

It’s a fat, uhh FACT that highly processed foods that are high in unsaturated fats + added sugars can increase the chances of dumping syndrome and digestive issues after bariatric surgery

With its creamy texture and sweet, fruity flavor, this ricotta ice cream is sure to satisfy your cravings without compromising your goals. Plus, it’s incredibly easy to make – so why not give it a try today?
