Cucumber Burger Sliders

Introduction

About this Recipe

Bariatric surgery isn’t about demonizing entire food groups or leaving them out altogether – forever.

Bariatric surgery means slowly building your meals from scratch with the main focus on protein (and fiber).

But here’s the thing.

You may not be able to tolerate bread any longer once you had bariatric surgery (research shows that starchy foods like bread and pasta may cause more digestive issues – of course, this is different for everyone).

So if you’re looking for an alternative to regular hamburger sliders – these cucumber sliders may be perfect!

Spices that go well with ground beef are: onion powder, garlic powder, paprika powder, salt, ground black pepper and cumin powder. Use your own blend to see what you like best!

Omit the cheddar cheese if you’re lactose-intolerant. But if you are using the cheddar cheese, make sure you add it on top of your patty when it’s almost done!

Additional toppings to add to your slider: sautéed mushrooms, jalapeños, cherry tomato halves, melted brie (or any other type of cheese) and beetroot.
